Background

I have spent two decades on national newspapers, most recently as Deputy News Editor at the Sunday Mirror and before that as Deputy Political Editor covering Westminster through Brexit and three successive governments.

I wrote a politics column for the Sunday Mirror and Sunday People, wrote and edited leaders, and have produced long-form features throughout my career. I have stood in as features editor at the Sunday Mirror, worked with senior columnists and writers on their copy, and generated ideas across news, features and opinion.

I am currently writing freelance features for the Daily Mirror.
